What is Fallen Women?

Fallen Women is the title of my second novel, a modern retelling of Madame Lou Graham’s story set in a world where it’s against the law for women (and anyone not a “natural man”) to tell their own story. My goal is to publish in late 2025.

Inspired by the fact that not much is known about most sex workers throughout history, including Madame Lou, I set out to tell a story that helps de-stigmatize sex workers and emphasize the importance of recording the stories of these incredible people.

I am not a sex worker, but I have been conducting both first and secondary research to make sure I’m telling the story in a way that respects workers and doesn’t continue to inflate stereotypes.
